The absolute front runner was a McLaren F1 from 1995, which achieved a price of 20.5 million dollars (the equivalent of over 18 million euros) at the summer auction in Pebble Peach, according to the classic car analysts from Classic-Analytics in Bochum. The high price results on the one hand from the rarity – only 64 vehicles were built – and on the other hand from the odometer reading of only 390 kilometers. This is followed by a special brown paint job, followed by a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competizione, which found a new owner at the same auction for $ 10.8 million. In third place is an Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato from 1962 with 9.5 million dollars. Of the ten most expensive classics of the year, only one does not come from Italy or Great Britain: the Matra MS670 from 1972, which was bought in Paris for 6.9 million euros was awarded the contract.
