Minecraft draws a special map to detect dyslexic disorders, here’s how it works

Once again, Mojang Studios is taking some initiative through its cubic title Minecraft. If recently we had the right to DLC Frozen Planet II in order to raise awareness of global warming and especially the consequences of it, Minecraft is indeed attacking this time the language disorder of dyslexia. For this, the developers have put a rather special card in place!

Minecraft welcomes the Mindcraft map

First of all, what is dyslexia ? If you’ve heard this term before, it’s because many millions of people have this disability, which is a language disorder, and the symptoms are usually difficulties in breaking words down into simple sounds, which makes it is difficult for them to understand and learn the sounds associated with letters and words, thus creating misunderstandings when reading.

And to find out if you or a loved one have dyslexia, Minecraft has therefore set up a brand new map called Mindcraft, developed by Dervoo for the association Power Dy. It consists of 4 different areas, and each of them offers challenges for players to overcome. The goal ? Help a character by the name of Charlie so that he can overcome a somewhat special labyrinth. Following the implementation of this map, Béatrice Sauvageot, neuropsychologist and who helped in the design of Mindcraft, believes that it should be seen as a game and not as something to make you feel guilty.

Dyslexia, considered a real handicap in life, is actually an extraordinary power! At Power Dys, we have developed an innovative approach to rehabilitate people with these disorders and give them back the confidence they never had. However, many people still suffer in silence for lack of diagnosis. We are therefore particularly excited about the creation of Mindcraft which will make it possible to screen Minecraft players in an entertaining and non-guilt-free way.

On the way to Minecraft Live

As a reminder, Minecraft Live will take place on October 15 annual. On the program, several new features to come (most certainly) for Minecraft, with also the famous Mob Vote which will allow the community to choose the next creature to integrate the cubic title.

Among them, the Tuf Golem, the Rascal, as well as the Sniffer. The good news here is that all three are completely passive, and unlike previous years, votes for Minecraft Live 2022 will take place directly on the official Minecraft.net site, but also via the game launcher or even in a Bedrock server.

Regarding the schedules, the votes will be open from October 14 at 6 p.m. French time, to end 24 hours later.

In a few days, we will have the right to the annual Minecraft Live with all the news to come around Minecraft but also around other titles. For the occasion, it’s time for players to vote for the next mob to join the cubic title, and here are the other two!
