A few days ago, we announced that Mojang Studios gave us an appointment on October 15th to attend the annual Minecraft Live. If this meeting allows you to discover the new features that will arrive in Minecraft but also in the studio’s other games, it is also an opportunity for the huge community of the title to give its opinion through a somewhat special vote: that of the mob who will have the honor of joining the cubic game in the next major update.

Mojang Studios presents a new mob, the Sniffer!
If the Wild Update allowed the developers to introduce the Allay following the votes of the players, the first candidates for the next “round” point the tip of their noses with to start with, the Sniffer. It is indeed through a small presentation video that we discover this creature, and it is not hostile (phew!).
According to this video, Sniffers are quite large but totally passive creatures, and they will prove very useful for players since these big beasts have the ability to find lost ancient seeds since a long time. This will allow players to then grow plants that will be totally unique.
Moreover, to hope to get their hands on this mob, our adventurers will have to be comfortable with water since it’s in the chests of the underwater ruins that Sniffers eggs can be found.
Here is what there is to know for the moment about this new species. Its introduction into the game could be really interesting since we could then have the right to several new plants, and this could be a real plus for the gameplay. But for that, you will have to vote on October 15 during Minecraft Live!
