But thanks to update 1.19, released in June 2022, it is possible to improve its storage space when you go out to explore the world with the addition of a brand new object.

How to craft a boat with a chest in Minecraft?

If you are a seasoned player of Minecraftyou will, most likely, have guessed for yourself what the recipe is boat with a trunksimply named storage boat. If this is not the case, we explain how to do it, so that you are not lost.

First, you will have to build a boat, with six wooden planks (any) and form a “U” in the workbench. It will then be necessary craft a chestwith eight wooden planks and form a circle, still in the workbench.

Secondly, you will simply have to add up your boat and your trunkto obtain this means of transport with a significant storage space.

However, it is important to know that if you destroy the storage boat, its contents will be found in nature. So you can’t break your boat to cross an island and put it back in the water afterwards, unless it’s empty. If this is not the case, you will have to leave it in the water and empty it once next to your base.

To interact with the trunk of a storage boat, just go to the boat and press the inventory key to access the chest and manage the materials stored there. Its capacity is that of a standard chest, ie 27 slots.
