A quick recipe with few ingredients

With the sunny days returning, impromptu aperitifs on the terrace are also making a comeback. And who says improvisation, often means a blast in the kitchen! To avoid stressing before your friends arrive, culinary content creator Johanna Sansano had a genius idea: crispy ham and mozzarella rolls. Very simple, gourmet, addictive and ready in just 5 minutes, it’s the perfect recipe when you don’t have time to cook a banquet. As soon as they are placed on the table, young and old will be happy to devour them, so a word of advice: plan for several batches!

The list of ingredients for 10 pieces:

  • 10 sheets of filo pasta
  • 5 slices of ham
  • 200 g of cooking mozzarella

The steps of the recipe:

  1. Start by cutting the ham slices in half. Roll each half slice around a previously cut 2 cm wide rectangle of mozzarella.
  2. Then place this filling in the center, at the bottom of the sheet of filo pastry, then fold the sides and roll lengthwise to trap the filling. Seal the filo pastry with a little water.
  3. Then heat a pan over low heat with a little olive oil and brown your rolls for a few minutes. You can also bake them in the oven at 180°C for 5 to 10 minutes. Then remove them onto absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
