Miracle, the 100% electric motorcycle at 100,000 € is back

The ambitious 100% electric motorcycle at 100,000 €, left for dead in October 2019, is back. And the news is rather very good since the startup Arc Vehicle is preparing for the first deliveries.

In 2018, the Arc Vehicle startup presented an ultra-ambitious 100% electric motorcycle: positioned at 100,000 €, the Arc Vector had everything to make people dream. The promises were, unfortunately, quickly killed by a receivership, announced in October 2019. But imagine that the two-wheeler is not dead: as reported by Men’s Gear in an article published on January 4, Arc Vehicle s ‘is preparing to deliver the first copies of its vehicle reserved for a niche.

The resurrection of Arc Vehicle actually dates from October 2020, as Electrek reported at the time. It was Mark Truman, the founder, who managed to raise enough funds to buy the company. Determined, he revealed: ” I decided to buy back the assets myself four months ago. The project has gone too far and has been too well received not to continue. The incredible plebiscite of people left me no choice. Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign, Arc Vector had notably raised one million euros – proof of its attractive power.

The € 100,000 electric motorcycle is back

In a tweet published on December 30, 2021, Ac Vehicle announced that the first customers have started to shape their Arc Vector to be unique and, above all, to be their own. It should be remembered that the company is banking on an ultra-limited volume of 399 motorcycles produced, which is enough to make the vehicle all the more desirable. It is distinguished by its monocoque structure in carbon fiber, as well as the absence of a traditional frame. Hence this very distinctive and ultra sporty look. One thing is certain: the Arc Vector will not go unnoticed.

In terms of performance, the Arc Vector is shaping up to be the “ most advanced motorcycle ever sold “. We are talking about:

  • From a 399V architecture;
  • Quick charge in 40 minutes;
  • A battery with a capacity of 16.8 kWh;
  • With a top speed electronically limited to 200 km / h (in reality, it can go faster);
  • With a range of 436 kilometers.

Attention, the autonomy is very optimistic, because based on the NEDC cycle. In reality, it will be closer to 250/300 kilometers, which remains honorable for a sports bike. The acceleration, enabled by a motor with a power of 95 kW, also promises to be dizzying, with a 0 to 100 km / h swallowed in 3.2 seconds. It’s a bit faster than the Harley-Davidson LiveWire (3.5 seconds) – which admittedly costs three times less.

With regard to the price and the positioning, the Arc Vector is not intended for everyone. But it could pave the way for a new segment: that of ultra premium two-wheelers comparable to hypercars.
