For this fourth edition of the Frandroid photo contest, a little thought was needed…
The reflection of a landscape on a body of water, the echo of an animal in a puddle, the play of reflections on shop windows or the reverberation of the driver in a rear-view mirror… reflections are a real inspiration in terms of photography. and a great way to get creative. For this fourth edition of the Frandroid photo contest, after the themes of the sun, music and animals, you have chosen your favorite shot on the theme of reflections.
After a week during which you sent us your applications, then another week of votes, it was finally Theo’s photo – visible above – which won, with nothing less than 67% of the votes. Here is what he had to share with us when he sent us his application:
This photo was taken with an iPhone 13 in the fall of 2022 and has been retouched with Lightroom for colors. It’s a place that I have the chance to see almost every day because it’s on the way to work, a real haven of peace, especially after long days. And sometimes, it’s possible to take some nice pictures, especially with the mist!
The other three finalists, Seb, Michel, Arnaud and Théo, obviously have nothing to be ashamed of. Seb comes in second place, Arnaud on the third step of the podium and Michel in fourth position.

I had taken my son for his first bivouac, at the Col de la Croix de Fer. He will long remember this magical moment, alone in the world, at the end of the day.

Michel’s photo: 6th Avenue
As part of the contest, I have the honor to send you this shot that I took in New York on 6th Avenue, on May 31, 2023 in the evening, with a Nikon D850 and a Sigma 14-24. 30 seconds exposure in 14 mm. The reflection was done on a set of water jets and certainly surrounded by marble or equivalent which reflected the light well.
