Miss France 2023: discover Axelle René, the sublime Miss Martinique


This Saturday, September 24, Miss Martinique 2022 was elected. It is the magnificent Axelle René who will represent her island during the Miss France election next December.

The election of Miss France 2023 has a new competitor. This Saturday, September 24, as Miss Pays de la Loire, Miss Martinique was elected in the presence of Cindy Fabre and Clémence Botino. After a ceremony full of emotions, it was Axelle René who was crowned and won the sash of Miss Martinique 2022 at the Grand Carbet in Fort-de-France. She therefore officially succeeds Floriane Bascou, Miss Martinique 2021. Aged 21, the beauty queen is a master’s student in geoscience planetology and was elected ahead of the first runner-up, Taïna Perro Tuong-A-Taï, the second runner-up Catherine Edouard, the third runner-up Adeline Gouyé-Martignac and the fourth runner-up, Sarah Henry.

“I come from Robert, the town with multiple islands, confided Axelle René in her presentation video. I decided to make geology my vocation because I am truly passionate about Martinican landscapes.” On her Instagram account, the new Miss Martinique has published several photos of her preparation for the regional competition. “I am very proud to be from Martinique, so becoming its ambassador for a year would be a real honor, wrote Axelle René just before being elected Miss Martinique 2022. Martinique’s ambitions are mine. This is why, if I am elected Miss Martinique, I will give everything to win the crown of Miss France for our beautiful island.”

Miss Martinique 2022: her declaration of love to her island

In love with her island, Axelle René had written her a magnificent letter a few days ago. “Dearest Martinique, you are beautiful. My pride continues to grow as I love discovering your magnificent landscapes. Great in beauty, but also in history, you transmit your strength to your inhabitants, your beauty, your energywrote the beauty queen who will participate in Miss France 2023. You generate great Men, talents, sportsmen, geniuses, in order to make your marvels known. If I wasn’t from Martinique, I would have chosen it.” On December 17, Axelle René will be present in Châteauroux to try to succeed Diane Leyre and thus become the very first Miss France from Martinique.
