Miss France 2023: Miss Bourgogne victim of discomfort during rehearsals, firefighters intervene

This Saturday, December 17, the election of Miss France 2023 took place. But on the eve of this great evening, one of the candidates became unwell during rehearsals, requiring the intervention of the emergency services.

More fear than harm. This Saturday, December 17, TF1 broadcast the contest of Miss France 2023. 30 young women from all over France paraded on the MACH 36 stage in Châteauroux to try to seduce the viewers, the public but also the jury composed of Francis Huster, Clarisse Agbegnenou, Marine Lorphelin, Dominique Besnehard, Arnaud Ducret and Kendji Girac. But to put the odds on their side, the beauty queens had to train to parade, while starting to put themselves in the conditions of live. Enough to raise the pressure … and perhaps a little too much for some.

The day before the election, Sylvie Tellier had gathered the candidates for a day of rehearsals. But nothing went as planned. Indeed, as reported by our colleagues from Le Parisien, Lara Lebrettonaka Miss Burgundy, was victim of illness. The firefighters even had to intervene to rescue the young woman. Fortunately, she didn’t break anything despite losing consciousness.

Who is Lara Lebretton?

Aged 23 and measuring 1m76, Lara Lebretton is from Givry in Saône-et-Loire in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. On October 9, she was crowned Miss Bourgogne 2022, from the hands of Cloé Galissi, Miss Bourgogne 2021, who presented her with her crown and scarf. A nurse by profession, the pretty bonde confided that she would like to work in a surgical department. And there is also a cause to which she pays particular attention. “As a nurse, I am very sensitive to sick children. They still have a lot to live for and sometimes their life changes before it even begins.”she told TF1 News.

Very athletic, she practices a relatively unknown discipline: the pompom twirling. She also became world champion with her team. “I have been dancing for 15 years at the Givry club where we have reached a high level. “I also thrive in artistic creation, sewing and painting. In short, people say that I am full of life and eager to succeed in everything I do”, she also said. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to clinch the crown.

Indeed, at the end of the evening, it is finally Miss Guadeloupe, Indira Ampiot, who was crowned Miss France 2023. By discovering his name by the presenter Jean-Pierre Foucault, the new Miss France was particularly moved. She could not hold back her tears when she was presented with the crown by Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022. Behind the new Miss France we find Miss Nord-Pas-De-Calais, elected first runner-up, Miss France-Comté second runner-up, Miss Martinique third runner-up and finally Miss Auvergne fourth runner-up
