Miss Marvel: who is Red Dagger, the superhero who appeared in episode 4?

Last week, in episode 4 of the Miss Marvel series, Kamala Khan traveled to Karachi in Pakistan to visit her family, but also to investigate the past of her great-grandmother Aisha, from whom she came. precisely to learn the extra-dimensional origins. As soon as she arrived there, the young woman met a young man named Kimo (short for Kareem), a superhero member of the Red Daggers vigilante group.

If he does not have cosmic powers like Kamala, Kimo is on the other hand an expert in close combat, specializing in the handling of knives and other daggers. The young man was also able to flaunt his abilities, during the friendly duel which opposed him to Miss Marvel during their first meeting.

On a personal level, Kimo quickly got closer to Kamala, to the point of suggesting a potential idyll between the two characters (although Kamala is also not insensitive to Kamran’s charm). Let it be said, Red Dagger could indeed be talked about again during the next two episodes of the series (Miss Marvel having been designed as a mini-series of barely six episodes, to introduce the character for the movie The Marvels, the sequel to Captain Marvel).

Like Kamala Khan, Red Dagger was created by G. Willow Wilson and Mirka Andolfo. Appeared in Marvel comics from 2016, the latter is embodied in the series by the American actor Aramis Knight (The Ender Strategy). Ally of Miss Marvel, the latter is like the latter a budding superhero, who will now have to assume alone the legacy left by his mentor Waleed, murdered in episode 4 by Namja’s henchmen.
