Canadian rapper Drake, 36, is the latest victim in a week-long series of incidents in which fans have thrown objects at prominent musicians during concerts. During a performance as part of his “It’s All a Blur” tour in Chicago last July 5, a visitor threw a mobile phone onto the stage and hit the singer in the arm with it. Unlike some of his female colleagues, he was lucky.

Mysterious attack series at concerts

The singer Bebe Rexha (33) was also the victim of a projectile attack at a show on June 17, 2023 in New York when she was hit in the face with a mobile phone thrown from the audience with full force. After the concert was abandoned, Rexha was taken to the hospital, where the wound inflicted over her left eye was stitched up. A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with the assault.

Just three days later, during a concert by US singer Ava Max (29) in Los Angeles, a man jumped on stage and hit her in the face. As the artist later told her fans announced on Twitterthe blow had such force that she was injured on the inside of her eye.

Ashes of deceased mother thrown on stage

Pop rocker Pink (43) made headlines during her shows on June 24 and 25 in London after a fan threw a bag of his late mother’s ashes at her feet and the next day she was thrown a huge one French brie cheese on stage.

On June 28, another incident occurred during a concert by country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini (29) in Idaho. There she was hit in the eye by a friendship bracelet and then interrupted her show.

Flying sex toys at Lollapalooza in Sweden

Something similar happened to US rapper Lil Nas X (24) on July 1 during his performance at the Lollapalooza Festival in Stockholm, Sweden – this time the projectile was a sex toy.

While media and musician circles are wondering what might be behind the series of fan attacks that has been going on for weeks, the experiences of the singer Pink in particular called out quirky meme trend into life. Edited images of the artist are circulating, in which fans hand her absurd objects such as dishwashers or Fabergé eggs onto the stage.
