“Mission Impossible until the age of 80”: Tom Cruise’s crazy dream

Is the “Mission: Impossible” saga coming to an end? Not necessarily according to Tom Cruise, who cites Harrison Ford as a model and announces that he wants to shoot episodes until he is 80 years old.

Impossible retirement for Tom Cruise? Not so long ago, the next part of Mission: Impossible (split into two films) was announced as the conclusion of the saga initiated in 1996. But things seem to have changed.

As part of the world premiere in Rome last month, director and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie hinted that he had more ideas. And today it is the interpreter of Ethan Hunt who is following in his footsteps, taking the last Indiana Jones as an example.

Harrison Ford is a legend”he told the Sydney Morning Herald. “I hope to be able to continue on my side. I have another 20 years to catch up with him. I hope to be able to make Mission: Impossible films until his age.”

I have another 20 years to catch up with Harrison Ford

A pious wish coupled with a desire to enter a little more into the legend of Hollywood, which nevertheless risks coming up against a physical obstacle. With Tom Cruise looking to make each Mission: Impossible even crazier than the last (and Dead Reckoning is no exception), how far will he be able to go?

In the meantime, the seventh installment of the franchise will be released in our theaters this Wednesday, July 12. And the eighth is currently scheduled for June 26, 2024.
