MIUI 13 was presented by Xiaomi at a Chinese end-of-year conference. The next software version of the manufacturer is entitled to a little facelift which brings some new features that we are going to present to you.

First of all, it should be noted that the event was also an opportunity to introduce the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X.

First, MIUI 13 should give pride of place to widgets, which will opt for very rounded lines. Overall, the images shown make you want to use them. Xiaomi also seems to follow the same philosophy as Android 12.

This rounded aspect is even exacerbated in the new Control Center presented by the brand’s teams. Here, the group seems determined to stand out from everyone else with big circular buttons that would allow you to manage your connected ecosystem.

We will of course test these new features as soon as possible.

New wallpapers and increased security

Xiaomi also talks about new wallpapers, a new system font that more space the numbers, for example. The company has also placed emphasis on security by presenting a tool capable of detecting and warning you of electronic fraud. The system would even be able to block the installation of a fraudulent application, further pushing its system to verify installed applications.

In a context where data security is becoming an increasingly central element of our daily lives, Xiaomi wants to reassure you by giving you better control of your privacy. MIUI 13 will, for example, make it possible to check which applications collect and use such or such personal information.

Xiaomi also claims to have optimized its software interface, for better fluidity of system applications.

We are not only talking about smartphones here, but also tablets, connected watches and televisions that will be launched or updated to MIUI 13. Concretely, Xiaomi promises to bring more consistency to its ecosystem. A feature will simply allow you to long press a video from your smartphone to allow it to be played on the TV or a Xiaomi tablet.
