  • In the US state of Virginia, there was a momentous mix-up.
  • A woman with her two children (1 and 5 years old) was mistaken by a police patrol.
  • The police car hit the woman’s car head-on. The woman demands at least an apology.

The innocent woman had just had a Caesarean section a few days earlier when she was rammed head-on by a police patrol on the street. Two officers drew guns and asked the woman to get out of her car with her hands up, NBC reports.

Then the woman was handcuffed. The officers took their two minor children into custody. A friend of the woman who was also in the car was asked to get out at gunpoint.

“It was a traumatic experience that I and my children will probably live with for the rest of their lives,” the woman said when questioned afterwards. According to the police, the patrol car was traveling at around 17 km/h when it hit the woman’s car. The occupants were not injured.

Police said they were investigating a tip about several armed people in a vehicle. Apparently, the officers confused the woman’s car. The opponent of the accident now wants to get the police officers removed from their posts. But at least they demand an apology.
