Mlenchon now offers to raise the minimum wage to 1,500 euros


PARIS (Reuters) – The leader of rebellious France, Jean-Luc Mlenchon, promised on Sunday on France 3 to raise the minimum wage to 1,500 euros if the coalition of the New Popular, Social and Ecological Union (Nupes) wins. in the legislative elections next June.

“We had planned to increase by 15% at the level of the Smic since the Smic is 1,300 so we will go to 1,500 so I am announcing to you today that the 15% increase will be observed in relation to the price level”, said Jean- Luc Mlenchon.

The increase of the minimum wage to 1,400 was one of the proposals included in the program of insubordinate France for the presidential election won in April by Emmanuelle Macron.
