Franco-Cameroonian MMA fighter Cédric Doumbè will fight American Derek Anderson on May 17 at the Accor Arena as part of the “Bellator Champions Series Paris”. The Professional Fighters League also added that Doumbè had signed an exclusive and multi-year contract extension.

A month after his defeat against Baysangur “Baki” Chamsoudinov during PFL Paris 2 organized at the Accor Arena in Paris, Frenchman Cédric Doumbè already knows the date and name of his next opponent. The MMA fighter will face the American Derek Anderson on May 17 in the same venue as his previous fight. The Franco-Cameroonian will fight in the “Bellator Champions Series Paris”, Bellator having become a franchise of the PFL, the American mixed martial arts league. His opponent, Derek Anderson (17 wins, 4 losses), aged 34, has won three of the last four fights he has fought in Bellator.

Cédric Doumbè, who has five victories for one defeat, “has also signed an exclusive and multi-year contract extension with the PFL and will make his debut for Bellator just after his participation in PFL Europe Paris”, we can read in a press release from the Professional Fighters League.

The main event of the evening of May 17 will pit the Russian Magomed Magomedov (16 wins and one loss) against the American Patchy Mix (19 wins and one loss). During this fight, the American will defend his bantamweight belt. Among the other French people entered on May 17, one of the pioneers of French MMA, Grégory Babene (23-11), will fight against the Dutchman Costello van Steenis for a world champion title in middleweight.
