MND down after degraded half-year results

(AOF) – MND (-2.76% to 0.77 euros) falls after announcing that its adjusted Ebitda plunged into the red over the past half-year to -1.4 million euros compared to 3.7 million euros ago a year. The French industrial group specializing in cable mobility, snowmaking systems, mountain safety and thrilling leisure infrastructures, however, saw its net loss reduced from 8.1 million to 5.8 million euros over the period. MND wants to “return to sustained growth in the second half”.

The group has already announced a decline in turnover in the first half of the year to 30.3 million euros compared to 49.3 million a year ago. It saw its gross margin decline from 17.2 to 12.7 million euros, but its gross margin rate increased from 35% to 42%.

MND confirmed that due to the delay in the first half, it would not exceed the milestone of 100 million euros in annual turnover and would not record a “marked” improvement in its profitability over the entire period. exercise.

The decline in half-year activity is, according to the group, the consequence of several factors, including the delay in the start of the Chimgan project in Uzbekistan (4-season development of the site for a total amount of 100 million euros), with a ramp-up less rapid than initially envisaged for local administrative reasons which have now been resolved.

MND also blames the end of the industrial and commercial partnership contract with Bartholet. The terms of this end of contract are currently the subject of a dispute between the two companies, MND considering that Bartholet’s non-compliance with multiple contractual obligations has harmed the taking of orders for detachable devices and therefore caused a drop of significant activity in cable transport projects.
