Call of Duty fans got their first taste of Modern Warfare 2 at Summer Game Fest and some were blown away by the sound design.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was already revealed this week with a new trailer and a ton of information about the new graphics engine, Campaign mode, and even Warzone 2.0. And during the Summer Game Fest, we could see a Campaign mode mission named “Dark Water” in the game in English.
What was impressive at first sight was the gameplay and the graphics but the aspect that impressed a large part of the community is the audio design.
The iconic Special Ops mode is making a comeback in Modern Warfare 2.
This Modern Warfare 2 reveal gameplay showed us an intense mission where members of Task Force 141 would have to infiltrate an enemy platform and defuse a missile. The mission is atmospheric with fictional weather, dynamic lights that go from sunrise to night. It sounded really amazing but others were captivated by the soundscape of the game.

Clearly, the dynamic audio of this small part of gameplay will have impressed many fans of the Call of Duty franchise, which already suggests that Modern Warfare 2 could be a real success.
However, it will still be necessary to wait a few months before having the heart net. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be available worldwide from October 28, 2022 so save that date!
