Mods arrive in beta on Cities Skylines 2 – Gamosaurus

Now that the first quarter is coming to an end, it’s time for Colossal Order to deliver on its promises. Cities Skylines 2 welcomes its first update on March 25, Beach Properties, which will also see mods appear. The latter had not been announced, but they will be there. But in beta only, and with some limitations for the moment. Enough to still touch the cards and the code of the game.

A map editor as well as coding tools will therefore be available to players. With the first, modders will be able to terraform the maps already present, or create new ones. By touching directly on the code, you will be able to create all the tools you lack to manage your city, expand it and make it a paradise. Player creations can be uploaded directly to Paradox Mods to make them easier to find.

This is just the first step in integrating mods into Cities Skylines 2. Each new update will be an opportunity to improve these tools and add new ones to help the community. Asset packs will also be made available to players to help them. However, you will have to be quite patient, since some updates will have time to pass between this first beta and version 1.0 of the mods.
