We ultimately didn’t have to wait for the 20th anniversary next May to have news of the next Monster Hunter. The first images of the new title, entitled
Monster Hunter Wilds, were revealed during the Game Awards ceremony. The game is planned for 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, but you will have to be patient.
What to expect in this title which wants to bring the saga into a ” new era “ ? The trailer plunges us into a very dusty desert, where hordes of small creatures migrate. A great density unprecedented for the series as there are so many monsters on the screen.
Next comes the Hunter on his mount who faces the dangers of the desert, including sandstorms and thunderstorms. We will not venture to analyze the trailer frame by frame to find some hidden subtleties or references to previous titles in the saga. But we can nevertheless say that the whole thing looks promising and very beautiful.
Don’t expect to see Monster Hunter Wilds back in the spotlight anytime soon, though.
