He is an individual with a disturbing profile, in the words of a source familiar with the matter. Indicted for two rapes and an attempted rape of three underage girls, a 27-year-old man was remanded in custody by the judge of freedoms this Thursday, July 28, in accordance with the requisitions of the Montbéliard prosecutor’s office, learned Le Figaro.

The suspect, Mourad L., is from Montbéliard (Doubs). This unemployed man, supposed to reside in Istres (Bouches-du-Rhône) for health concerns, returned to his native region on June 20. Already known to justice for thefts, he is suspected of having assaulted three young girls aged 16 and 17 between July 19 and 21 in downtown Montbéliard.
The plaintiffs report the same scheme. Mourad L. asks for directions or a cell phone to make a supposedly urgent phone call to a friend, which he then refuses to return. Then he assaults the young girls by forcing them to give him oral sex. The individual was arrested by the police on July 21, thanks to video surveillance and the identification of his vehicle. A supplementary indictment for similar facts dated July 13 could take place soon. According to our information, another young girl must also file a complaint this Thursday afternoon for facts dating back to July 8.
