Moody’s fears that France will fail to reduce its deficit to 2.7% by 2027

PARIS, March 27 (Reuters) – The level of the public deficit recorded in France in 2023 makes the objective of reducing it to 2.7% by 2027 unlikely, Moody’s warned on Wednesday.

The rating agency also underlines that the measures announced by the government will undoubtedly not be such as to enable it to achieve this year the objective of a public deficit of 4.4% of its gross domestic product (GDP ).
