“Moral compulsory vaccination”
Heil: 93 percent of employees double vaccinated
3G applies in the workplace – so you have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested. According to Minister of Labor Heil, the vast majority of employees opt for the vaccination. His ministry saw a real boost between September and November.
Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of the corona protection regulations in the companies. “The rules are clear and good – and I am grateful that employers and employees largely implement them in an exemplary manner,” he told the newspapers of the Funke media group. “A recent survey by my ministry on 3G – vaccinated, recovered or tested – at the workplace showed that 85 percent of employees are in favor of this regulation. 93 percent of employees are – as of mid-November – double vaccinated.”
According to Heil, the willingness of unvaccinated people to be vaccinated doubled to 20 percent between September and November. Occupational safety makes an important contribution to getting the infection process under control, said the Minister of Labor.
At the same time, Heil announced: “We will determine when the two vaccinations are no longer sufficient and must be boosted.” But first there must be a chance that everyone can be boosted. In addition, decisions on compulsory vaccination would be made. “Personally, as a member of parliament, I will agree to a general vaccination requirement.”
Shared responsibility
The minister encouraged companies and employees to work more from home. Companies have to offer home office wherever possible. “And it is important for employees to take advantage of this offer.” The home office regulations have demonstrably helped to break the third wave before summer. “I expect that you stick to the law and the law, that also helps to break the fourth wave.”
Heil showed understanding that many people are “tired and tired of this pandemic”. “Many people worry about their health or are afraid of further restrictions.” But he has no understanding of what is going on in Grimma in Saxony, where “a mob with torches has risen in front of the home of Health Minister Petra Köpping,” said Heil.
“We have very clear rules and we will sharpen them again if necessary.” The state has a responsibility to protect the health of its citizens. “But we will only get through if everyone takes responsibility for themselves.” Heil emphasized: “There is already a moral compulsory vaccination today.”
