More beautiful life on TF1: photos of the new Place du Mistral and its iconic bar revealed

“Plus belle la vie” will soon be back on TF1… but certain key elements of the soap opera will change a lot! The Place du Mistral and its bar will appear very different…

After its cancellation by France 3 a year ago, Plus belle la vie will be reborn from its ashes on TF1. Filming will therefore start again at the end of October 2023 for a big comeback on air in early 2024!

In an interview a few weeks ago, Marie Réache (who plays Babeth Nebout) warned that big changes were coming in this sequel!

“Plus belle la vie” soon back

Indeed, the most iconic place in fiction, which is none other than the Place du Mistral with its emblematic bar, will have a completely new look! On Wednesday October 11, the Minister of Culture Rima Abdul-Malak visited, in the company of certain actors (Jérôme Bertin (Patrick), Lola Marois (Ariane), Sylvie Flepp (Mirta)…), the new sets in the legendary Belle de Mai studios in Marseille!

Images of the brand new Mistral were published on social networks. We thus see that the establishment formerly run by Roland (Michel Cordes, who died in May 2023) will be much more modern and stylish.

Some Internet users even find it a resemblance to the Spoon of Tomorrow Belongs to Us (one of the channel’s other French soap operas along with Here it all begins)…

In any case, it is here that the scenes inside the Mistral will be filmed. Regarding the scenes outside the bar and on the famous square, the production of the series decided to invest in a village, that of Allauch in Bouches-du-Rhône, located not far from Marseille.

Lionel de Cala, the mayor of the town, revealed this information on social networks and also participated in the visit mentioned above.

The Mistral transformed…

This explains in a post on Facebook : “The Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, in the heart of the village, will serve as a backdrop for all outdoor filming and the ‘Bar de l’Hostellerie’ is renamed in the name of the famous ‘Bar du mistral’!

It is the authenticity of our village square with its Town Hall, its church, its fountain and its shops that attracted the TF1 team who will film around thirty days a year.

For the most curious and impatient fans, discover above what the future “real-false” Place du Mistral should look like in Plus belle la vie… One thing is in any case certain, despite these changes, the ingredients which have made the success of the program should be there.

Stéphane Hénon (Boher) recently declared to AlloCiné: “This soap opera is a brand. If it was taken over, it is to keep this social side which is the DNA of Plus belle la vie. (…) In any case, we’ll see and that’s already great because we’re going back! Let’s go ahead, be positive, see the glass half full and let’s go for it! We are all in this state of mind I think.
