In the episode of More beautiful life of Wednesday, September 14, 2022, Justine (Maelli Kervoelen) and Emma (Pauline Bression) are in danger, but Baptiste (Bryan Trésor) cannot help them both. Torn, the young man takes a few seconds to decide and finally takes the road to the shed. In the car, he makes a call to Jean-Louis (Christophe Hérault) and implores him to go and help Justine. The warrant officer is afraid of confronting the fire, but Baptiste finds the words to encourage him to enter the burning building. Despite his fear, Jean-Louis manages to get Justine out of the building. The latter thanks him for his help, but the warrant officer tells him to thank Baptiste instead. Without it, he would not have succeeded in confronting his phobia of fire. Learning that Baptiste did not come when she was in danger, Justine blames the blow…
Trapped in the heart of the flames, Emma begins to cough and eventually faints. Baptiste finds her unconscious and takes her out of the house, but the young woman does not wake up despite the cardiac massage of her ex-companion. Desperate, he pours water on her face and Emma eventually wakes up. Relieved, Baptiste kisses her and apologizes for all the harm he has done her. The couple reconciles and the rain begins to fall.

For his part, Romain (Simon Ehrlacher) is still hostage to Vanessa. The latter drives very quickly in the mountains and the young man fears that she will end up killing them. Romain begs her to let him drive, but Vanessa refuses and the car ends up in a tree. In the accident, Vanessa is thrown against the steering wheel and passes out. Romain takes the opportunity to take the keys to his handcuffs from his pocket, unloads his shotgun and flees.
