More beautiful life (spoilers): Mirta has health problems and Emma is worried about Caesar

On July 23 in Plus belle la vie (France 3, 8:20 p.m.), Mirta has health problems, Emma is more and more worried about César and Camille gets closer to Baptiste’s secret…

In the episode of More beautiful life Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the police station, Boher (Stéphane Hénon) surprises Ariane (Lola Marois) looking at photos of her and Éric (Régis Maynard). The young woman finds it hard to believe that he is gone for good, after working with him for so many years. To cheer him up, Boher tells him that Vautrin was seen in the nightclub next to the Opera, where Eric had an informer. To get her contact details, Ariane calls her friend, who is enjoying his new life to the full. She takes the opportunity to ask him to go to the police station to sign some papers, which Eric agrees to do the following week.

During a walk in the forest, Simon (Julien Ellenrieder) notices that an irrigation canal is completely dry, which never happens in July. Éric advises him to go and ask questions of his neighbour, Malard. Arriving on the land of the latter, Simon finds that rocks have fallen into the canal and are blocking the arrival of water to his home. He informs Malard of the problem, who promises to take care of it quickly. Nevertheless, Éric understands that Malard is deliberately blocking the arrival of water on Simon’s land. He advises the latter to raise his voice, but Simon does not want to clash with Malard. He prefers to trust him and wait for him to remove the rocks from the channel.

The Castels find refuge in a barn

After hearing two gunshots, Luna (Anne Decis) announces herself and cautiously approaches the shooter, who ends up removing his smoke mask. The latter, named Lucien, explains having had a car stolen recently and having shot in the air to scare them away, just in case. Very hospitable, he leads them to a high barn where he has found refuge with his neighbors until the fire dies down. The wind being in the east and the walls being thick, he was certain to be safe in the barn. Nevertheless, Luna points out to him that the tide might be turning.

To everyone’s great relief, the wind continues to blow due east. Sunalee (Alixe Guidoni) would like to take the opportunity to return, but Bastien (Nicolas Berger Vachon) prefers not to take the risk of being surprised by the flames. At the Zéphyr, Mirta (Sylvie Flepp) continues to worry about Luna and the Castels and washes the windows to keep her mind busy. Laëtitia (Caroline Riou) notices that the latter is still bothered by her size below her arm. She advises him to go for a consultation. It’s possible it’s just a cyst, but it’s safer to check. Eventually, Mirta receives a reassuring call from Luna, who lets her know that they have found refuge in a small village. The latter takes the opportunity to ask about her mother, but Mirta decides to hide her little health problems from her.

While everyone is clearing the area around the hamlet, Lucien notices that Sunalee is not well. Insightful, he understands that she is going through a heartache and promises her that everything will end up being better. The conversation brings the teenager and the old man closer…

Emma is increasingly worried about Caesar

In bed with Baptiste (Bryan Trésor), Emma (Pauline Bression) thinks back to Caesar (Grant Lawrens). She feels like something bad has happened to her. Hearing about his friend, Baptiste gets angry. Each time he tries to enjoy the present moment with Emma, she ends up talking to him about César or his sister, Camille (Lisa Cipriani). To make up for it, Emma offers him to spend the day together, but Baptiste can’t afford it. As a volunteer firefighter, he must go and replace the professional firefighters on the fires. Once at the first aid station, Baptiste and Justine learn that the fires are intensifying. Justine does not hide her frustration. Hundreds of firefighters battle the flames as she and Baptiste treat sunburn. The young man tries a rapprochement to change his mind, but nothing works. Justine is here for the fire, and nothing else.

At the Belesta, Kévin (Théo Bertrand) receives an SMS from Emma, who asks him for news of César. The young policeman decides to go see her, and Camille insists on going with him. On the spot, Kevin explains to Emma that his phone call with the Canadian police did nothing. According to customs information, Caesar never went to Canada. This news heightens Emma’s concern, who begins to believe that something has happened to Caesar. To change his mind, Camille, who knows perfectly well what happened to the young man, convinces her sister to go see Baptiste at the beach. When they arrive, Justine is embarrassed by Emma’s presence and slips away. His behavior does not escape Camille… A few minutes later, while talking with Emma, Baptiste sees flames in the distance and rushes towards them…
