While Marwan Berreni (Abdel) has been missing for several weeks now, the production of “Plus belle la vie” has announced that his character will not be present at the launch of the sequel on TF1.
The mystery has been hovering over this case for several weeks now. On the night of August 3, a 38-year-old woman and her dog were hit near a nightclub near Mâcon by a 4X4 belonging to Marwan Berreni, the interpreter of Abdel Fedala in More beautiful life .
And since this event, the actor remains untraceable despite the investigation of the police. A situation that is all the more worrying since Marwan Berreni was due to start filming the sequel to Plus belle la vie next October, which will be back in 2024 on TF1.
The Plus belle la vie teams worry

“It’s horrible not knowing. Was he the one driving? What happened to him ? Is he even still alive?” we ask ourselves. But with the start of filming fast approaching, production has no choice but to begin without Marwan Berreni.
The writers therefore had to revise their copy. The plot centered around Abdel Fedala and Barbara Evenot (Léa François), two key characters from Plus belle la vie who got back together during the final prime broadcast in November 2022, has therefore been put aside for the moment.
“Of course his disappearance has an impact on the writing. He was one of the actors announced, and therefore expected” explained the production to our colleagues from Parisian.
In the meantime, the castings for the new families who will integrate Plus belle la vie, as well as the scouting for the new sets are continuing. The sequel to the soap opera originally broadcast on France 3 will still be shot in the legendary Belle de Mai studios, even if some changes are to be expected.
The famous Place du Mistral was indeed destroyed last January. Will the production rebuild it identically or will it choose to create a new place? The mystery remains intact. One thing is certain, filming, which should begin on October 23, should not be delayed by the latest events.
