More beautiful life: what objects from the series do the actors dream of recovering? We asked them the question

As the end of “Plus belle la vie” approaches, we asked the actors of the daily soap opera of France 3 if there were any iconic objects that they would dream of being able to keep once filming is over.

It’s a bit of a tradition when a series ends. The actors often have the opportunity to keep significant objects from the series in which they have played in order to keep a memory of all these years of work.

And Plus belle la vie, which bows out this Friday evening on France 3 is probably no exception to the rule. During the various meetings that we have been able to have with the actors in recent months, we asked them what object they would dream of being able to recover. And if there were obvious answers, some actors saw things big…

For Pierre Martot, who plays Léo Castelli, it’s obvious. He wants at all costs to recover his leather jacket. “This is the iconic object of my character” he told us. If Elodie Varlet (Estelle) also wants to dig into her character’s wardrobe, it’s above all a photo that she would like to be able to keep as a souvenir.

There is a photo that I should try to recover because it made me laugh out loud. It was at the time of Djawad Fitness, they made me fat. I was a real Bibendum, it was a kind of before / after, and I found this photo quite hilarious. I think it’s hanging somewhere in the Mistral.

If there is ONE iconic place in Plus belle la vie, it’s the Mistral bar. This establishment run by Roland Marci (Michel Cordes) has been the focal point of the series for more than 18 years. It is therefore no surprise that some actors have expressed their desire to recover a small (or even large) piece of the bar.

Tim Rousseau, whose character Kilian inherited the Mistral last October, would like to keep a chair and a menu. Small objects that have a lot of meaning for the young actor: “For me, it’s the very allegory of the bar, of the magic that emanates from this place.

For his part, Laurent Kerusoré sees things big. “I think I would keep either the Virgin of the Mistral or the door to the Mistral bar”, he explained to us before adding that he would make some changes if he achieved his goals. “At the time it was marked ‘Marci et fils’. There is nothing inscribed now, but if I recover the door, I will ask the decoration team to give me the original inscription.

Of course, he has a dream that he knows cannot be realized, that of completely keeping the Place du Mistral in order to rebuild the place at home. “If I could, I would bring everything back to my place, in the Verdon” he told us, laughing.

The most ambitious, and above all the most far-sighted of all the actors is undoubtedly Stéphane Hénon, alias Jean-Paul Boher, who planned everything when he went looking for his new home. When we met him last August, he explained to us that he was in the middle of negotiations to recover the spiral staircase from the Mistral.

I already have a spiral staircase in my house but I would like to change it. To have this nod to Plus belle la vie at home would be great. This staircase is really the symbol of the series, it’s what you see first when you enter the bar. I find it so beautiful. And I found my house, a year ago, so I could put this staircase in it”.
