more solo or multiplayer? Ubisoft slice

Is Skull and Bones more of a single player game or a multiplayer game? Ubisoft has just settled the question and answered this delicate question.

For a few weeks now, the pirate game Skull and Bones has relaunched the machine to make people talk about it. In this line, Ryan Barnard the director of development returned to the importance that the plot will have in this adventure of the seas in an interview for trueachievements.

Rather solo or multiplayer for Skull and Bones?

Ryan Barnard explains:

Skull and Bones is not a story-driven game. We have narrative elements – in the game you will meet important NPCs called Kingpins who have their own story which you will learn by developing relationships with them by taking contracts with them. There is an underlying story to the game with which we build the whole story of the world, but that is not the main focus. We want players to create their own stories and be able to choose the type of pirate they want to be. That said, what motivates you in the progression system we call Infamy is the fact that you will have access to in-game blueprints that will give you different types of ships, weapons, and armor, and you you’ll need it as you move around and explore the world to be effective against new enemies.

In short, as often with Ubisoft (except for the Assassin’s Creed saga), there is a narrative framework but a lot of freedom is present to let the player do a little what he wants. And as expected, Skull and Bones will emphasize naval combat with other players in the form of PVP even if the game leaves the possibility of playing in PVE.

Skull and Bones is slated for November 8, 2022 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
