More than 9,600 Ukrainian children are currently enrolled in schools, colleges and high schools in France, mainly in the academies of Nice and Versailles, the Ministry of National Education announced on Friday April 8 in a press release.

According to the latest figures from thecell Ukraine» installed rue de Grenelle, 9637 pupils arriving from Ukraine are currently accommodated in the first and second degree classes. This unit was set up at the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, at the end of February, to anticipate the reception and schooling of Ukrainian refugee students. These figures, stopped at Thursday 4:00 p.m., are increasing rapidly since last Friday, there were 6,800 Ukrainian students attending school in France.

The academies that host the largest number of Ukrainian students are those of Nice, Versailles, Normandy and Créteil.
