Moscow will deploy its Sarmat missiles in the fall at the latest

(Reuters) – Russia will deploy its new intercontinental ballistic missile Sarmat no later than autumn, the Tass agency reported on Saturday, quoting the director of Roscosmos, the Russian space agency.

This first deployment will be in the Krasnoarsk region, about 3,000 km east of Moscow, he added.

Moscow announced on Wednesday that it had successfully conducted a test of this new missile that Vladimir Putin presents as unique in the world and likely to give pause to anyone who might be tempted to threaten his country.
