After the sprint, Francesco Bagnaia also wins the race. Marc and Alex Marquez are eliminated.

Francesco Bagnaia is unstoppable. The leader in the overall standings continued to extend his lead at the Italian GP. The 26-year-old won with a lead of around one second in front of the Spaniard Jorge Martin and the Frenchman Johann Zarco. After winning in Portugal and Spain, Bagnaia won his 3rd race of the still young season.

For Bagnaia it was a double home win: on the one hand he is Italian himself, on the other hand Ducati, the manufacturer of his motorbike, comes from very close to Mugello. There was a lot to celebrate for Ducati in general. All podium riders were on their bikes.

Marquez brothers with falls

Marc and Alex Marquez experienced a much worse afternoon. The Spaniards both fell through no fault of their own. Eight-time world champion Marc Marquez looked at his Honda machine in disbelief after the crash. Fortunately, both drivers were able to get up on their own and were uninjured.
