A new high-end smartphone has been presented with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, which is sold at a really attractive price. The company, which belongs to Lenovo, is competing with Xiaomi in Germany. But it can also be operated with a stylus, so Samsung is also targeting the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro: Top cell phone for 799 euros
If you want to buy a high-end smartphone, you don’t have to dig too deep into your pocket. Motorola is bringing the Edge 30 Pro to Germany and it only costs 799 euros. You get one for that 6.7-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144 Hz. With this, Motorola trumps many manufacturers who previously set a maximum of 120 Hz. The smartphone supports a stylus, which is not included in the scope of delivery and cannot be inserted into the case. This means that Samsung also has unexpected competition. As a reminder: The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra costs from 1,249 euros (for testing).
And otherwise the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is technically at the highest level. It will powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which has up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The battery has a capacity of 4,800 mAh and can be quickly charged with 68 watts. With 15 watts, it’s not quite as fast wirelessly. But you have to make a small compromise with this smartphone. It is only IP52 certified. Rain cannot harm the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, but you cannot submerge the smartphone.
Two 50 MP sensors are used on the back. The main sensor is optically image stabilized. The ultra wide angle covers 114 degrees. There is no telephoto lens. Motorola is subject to the update guarantee
When it comes to software, Motorola does not use special skins or unnecessary apps. However, with “My UX” there is still the possibility of adapting the operating system as you wish. There is also an update guarantee, but it is rather weak. There are three years of security updates and two years of “feature updates”. Sales will start in March 2022 for EUR 799.99. The sleeve with pen is also scheduled to launch in March, but there is no price for that yet.
