The new flagships from Motorola are official. If we had to choose a single word to describe these smartphones, it would obviously be AI. Like its competitors, the manufacturer has joined the movement by integrating a number of AI functionalities into its devices, accompanied by a detailed technical sheet.
Motorola has just unveiled its brand new flagships, the Edge 50. Succeeding the very popular Edge 40, smartphones will have to rise to the occasion to confirm Motorola’s strong return to the market after a slight slump.
Three new models come to this range: the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Ultra. As we are in 2024, these Edge 50s do like almost all the competition by integrating artificial intelligence. A brief overview of what awaits you.

The Motorola Edge 50, at the cutting edge of technology
A high-end smartphone, we find all the usual paraphernalia of the best smartphones of the moment under the hood of the Edge 50. Let’s start with the Ultra model. The latter is powered by a processor Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, along with 16 GB of RAM and of 1 TB of storage. It also has a battery 4500mAh compatible with charging 125W, capable of recharging the smartphone in just 4 minutes. Wireless charging, for its part, climbs to 50W.
This powers a curved screen 6.67-inch Super HD (1220p) pOLED having a refresh rate of 144Hz. Note that the smartphone notably supports the technology Dolby Atmos. Finally, for the photo, we find a 50 MP main lens, a 64 MP telephoto lens, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with and a 50 MP selfie sensor on the front. The Edge Ultra is therefore not the best in this area, but it can count on AI to offer a convincing photo section.

But let’s first talk about the other two representatives of the range before getting to the heart of the matter. The technical sheet of Edge 50 Pro is almost similar, except that its processor is replaced by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with 12 GB of RAM And 512 GB of storage. It is also on this point that the Edge 50 Fusion, with its processor Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and his 8 GB of RAM And 256 GB of storage. All three smartphones are certified IP68.
Motorola relies on AI to make its Edge 50 shine
It has often been said in recent months, but it is AI that makes up the entire identity of these Motorola Edge 50s. Because it is well known that this aspect is what the manufacturer has placed emphasis on. More specifically on AI motorcycle which, as mentioned above, will above all work hard to improve the rendering of the photos. The tool will notably make it possible to automatically stabilize shots, focus with the snap of a finger, or even easily take long exposure shots for sumptuous effects.
But moto AI also intrudes into other corners of the operating system. The manufacturer emphasizes in particular that its smartphones will benefit from the many editing features of Google Photos which will soon no longer be exclusive to the Pixel 8, such as the Magic Editor, the Eraser
Magic as well as Blur Correction. This includes advanced search, which suggests that users will benefit from advanced features to help them find what they are looking for.
