Mourning for Thomas Kingston: Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband died on Sunday at the age of 45, it was announced today.
The British Royal Family has to cope with a terrible blow of fate: As Buckingham Palace announced today, Thomas Kingston (1978-2024), the husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston (42), née Windsor, died on Sunday at the age of just 45. Rescue workers were called to an address in Gloucestershire in southwest England on the evening of February 25th, but found Thomas Kingston dead there and were unable to save his life. as reported by “People”, among others. An investigation into the circumstances of the death has been initiated. However, there were no suspicious circumstances. No other people were involved either.

Thomas Kingston, who worked as a banker, married the then Lady Gabriella Windsor in May 2019 in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Lady Gabriella Windsor is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent (81), in turn a first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). At the fairytale wedding four years ago, those present included the Queen, her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021), who died in 2021, and Prince Harry (39), who married today’s Duchess Meghan (42) at the same place a year earlier.
Before his marriage, Thomas Kingston was in a relationship with Pippa Middleton (40), the younger sister of Prince William’s (41) wife Princess Kate (42). This broke up in 2011, but the two are said to have remained on friendly terms.
King Charles III (75) and his wife, Queen Camilla (76), expressed their condolences in an official statement from the palace. “The King and Queen have been informed of Thomas’ death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all who knew him in mourning the loss of a much loved family member. In particular, Their Majesties send their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and the entire family Kingston,” said a statement from a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman.
“His death is a big shock for the whole family”
Thomas Kingston’s relatives around his wife Lady Gabriella Kingston also released a statement on Tuesday. It said: “It is with deepest sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother. Tom was an extraordinary man who brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. His death comes as a great shock to the whole family.” The relatives of the deceased ask for respect for the family’s privacy in order to be able to mourn the death.
