A privileged partner of Intel, MSI would be among the first to offer a laptop
entirely in the colors of the Californian giant.

The first laptops fully powered by Intel materialize. While Acer should offer a 100% Intel configuration on its new Swift X in the coming weeks, MSI is about to follow suit with the new version of its Summit E16 Flip EVO.

A 100% Intel machine soon at MSI

For its new high-end 16-inch laptop, the Taiwanese manufacturer would indeed bet on brand new generation Intel components: Alder Lake on the CPU side and ARC Alchemist on the GPU side. In its best equipped version, the device would thus be equipped with an Intel Core i7-12700H processor, and an ARC A370M GPU chip. At least that’s what we learn from an entry in the database of Puget Systems Benchmark.

The Summit E16 Flip would also have a maximum of 32 GB of RAM in DDR5 at 6400 MHz, while its price would probably be between 1,400 and 1,900 euros depending on the components chosen.

The power of an RTX 3050 for the A370M

As a reminder, the Core i7-12700H has a total of 14 cores clocked at a maximum of 4.70 GHz, for 115 W of TDP in Turbo mode. Announced at CES 2022, it is one of the fastest mobile processors on the market to date.

For its part, Intel’s ARC A370M is based on the Alchemist DG2 architecture that has been on the run for some time. This chip would bring together 128 execution units and would offer a level of graphics performance close to that developed by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 or an AMD Radeon RX 6500M.
