MultiVersus launches its 1.01 patch and integrates Morty (Rick & Morty)

Patch 1.01 for MultiVersus has just been deployed, with the appearance of Morty which is revealed in a gameplay trailer. Several characters are also balanced.

As announced in recent days, the brawler under Warner MultiVersus license has a substantial roadmap for its Season 1 which has just started. First addition to the game’s already very extensive roster: Morty (from Rick & Morty) has just appeared in the game, and its gameplay trailer has been unveiled as Gamescom 2022 has just started.

An addition which is linked to patch 1.01 now available on all media, and which will also modify the kit of several characters including Harley Quinn who could see her passive assassin removed in the future. Note that the next fighters to enter the arena should be Rick, Black Adam and the villain of the Gremlins.

GENERAL


  • Morty is coming. He will be the first character to wield a Plumbus-wielding.


GAMEPLAY


  • Fixed an issue where ability cooldowns would not trigger when projectiles were thrown near terrain.


CHARACTERS


ARYA


  • Assassin Passive: Reduced bonus damage taken from 14% to 5%. We are assessing whether this liability should be removed entirely. We want to take a step towards that while trying not to go too far too fast. We don’t want to create an assassin-dominated meta.


FINN


  • Assassin Passive: Reduced bonus damage taken from 14% to 5%. We are assessing whether this liability should be removed entirely. We want to take a step towards that while trying not to go too far too fast. We don’t want to create an assassin-dominated meta.
  • Special Neutral Air/Ground Attack: Increased damage from 5 to 6.
  • Special Low Air/Ground Attack: Increased damage from 18 to 20.


HARLEY


  • Assassin Passive: Reduced bonus damage taken from 14% to 5%. We are assessing whether this liability should be removed entirely. We want to take a step towards that while trying not to go too far too fast. We don’t want to create an assassin-dominated meta.


IRON GIANT


  • Special Neutral Air/Ground Attack: Reduced countdown from 25 seconds to 23 seconds.
  • Upward Air Attack: Reduced hitbox to better match attack visuals.
  • Special Upward Air/Ground Attack: Reduced damage by 1 and base knockback on last spin hit.
  • special downward air/ground attack: Cancels the cannonball if it hits an enemy.
