Ivo Batic and Franz Leitmayr end up in a nunnery. The shooting of the new case of the “crime scene” investigators from Munich has begun.

Miroslav Nemec (67) and Udo Wachtveitl (62) are in the middle of filming a new case for the Munich “Tatort” duo Batic and Leitmayr. Directed by Maris Pfeiffer (58), shooting began on June 29th in Munich and Oberaudorf, as Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) now announces.

Leitmayr and Batic in the monastery

The commissioners end up in a nunnery in the foothills of the Alps because of a murder case. There the victim worked as an auditor. Soon there was growing evidence that the monastery caretaker might have had something to do with the murder. The motive remains unclear at first, however, and two ambassadors from Rome are also investigating the commissioners. Do the nuns have something to hide?

Corinna Harfouch, Ulrike Willenbacher and Christiane Blumhoff will play the roles of the sisters. The new case with the working title “There are miracles again and again” is expected to be filmed until July 28th and is then expected to be broadcast in winter 2021/2022 – on the usual slot on Sunday evening at 8:15 pm on Das Erste.
