Thursday, October 27, 2022, his body was finally found in a forest. Theo is the one who identified the suspect, Lucas L., a young farmer who was indicted for murder and rape. In an interview with Le Parisien, Théo, who had met Justine Vayrac in early October, said: “I had talked a lot with her after meeting her in a nightclub. Since then, we often went out with friends. We were sometimes a small group, others were added throughout the evening.“
Referring to the one who finally confessed to the murder of the young mother, Théo explained: “Leaving the club, in front of the entrance, we met Lucas and, obviously, Justine already knew him. She had spent several evenings with him. IThey had a friendly attitude towards each other. I had nothing to worry about. We talked five to ten minutes with him. Justine felt worse and worse and she started vomiting for the first time. With Lucas, we accompanied her to her car. Once there, Justine said she wanted to rest for an hour, in the car. He told me he also wanted to rest. The two lay down in the vehicle.“After Justine Vayrac left to vomit, the young man left, making sure that Lucas would take care of her.”As I did not know him, I preferred to take his number. I asked him to give me a call, which he gladly did. And I recorded his cell phone“, he clarified.
Theo is the target of criticism
Thanks to the presence of mind of the young man, investigators were able to locate Lucas L.and arrest him at his home. “I’m glad I took his number, it allowed the investigation to progress“, declared Théo. On the social networks, the young man is however the target of criticism. He thus regretted: “Some think I should have stayed with her, say it’s partly my fault. It is not easy.“Vincent, a friend of Justine, added to defend him:”Honestly, Theo walked her back to her car, did what he could. I couldn’t have done better.“
