The alleged murderer of young Lola, found dead on Friday October 14 in a trunk, was indicted for murder of a 15-year-old minor accompanied by rape, torture or acts of barbarism. Currently placed in the prison of Fresnes, the suspect must pass several psychological expertises, in order to determine if a trial should take place or not.
The shock, then the investigation. After the discovery of the lifeless body of young Lola on Friday October 14 in Paris, several people were arrested. Among her, Dhabia B, 24 years old. After her custody, the young woman was indicted for murder of a 15-year-old minor accompanied by rape, torture or acts of barbarism.
What will happen now?
Avoid suicide attempts
The suspect was imprisoned in the women’s section of the remand center, which has around 170 places, then placed in solitary confinement to protect her from other inmates, but also to protect her from herself. The goal is to avoid a suicide attempt. Two psychiatric and psychological expert opinions will be ordered within the framework of the judicial information, an automatic procedure in criminal matters.
The investigating judge may decide, if he wishes, to order second opinions because the central question in this case is the criminal irresponsibility of the indictment. While in police custody, the suspect retracted her confession and said she was stabbed by a ghost.
An upcoming trial?
Incoherent remarks which join the facts described by the sister of the young woman. The latter referred to the restless nocturnal awakenings of Dhabia B. before the facts. It remains to be seen whether the experts will hold the 24-year-old young woman responsible for her actions. In the case of this hypothesis, it will be returned to an assize court.
In the opposite case, if the expertises conclude on the contrary to the abolition of his discernment, no trial can be held.
