Murders in Nancy: is the TV movie really filmed in Nancy?

This Saturday, February 17, France 3 will rebroadcast Murders in Nancy from 9:10 p.m. Was the TV film really filmed in the beautiful city of Lorraine? Télé Star gives you the answer.

France 3 is rebroadcasting an opus from the collection this Saturday, February 17 “Murders in…”. From 9:10 p.m., viewers will go to Nancy, the French capital of Art Nouveau. A city where it is good to contemplate the magnificent bourgeois facades of the center, stroll along the banks of the Meurthe, visit the Museum of Fine Arts, or have a coffee on the sublime Place Stanislas… Except when the corpse of a woman is found in the middle of an Art Nouveau auction, with the inscription “Guenoche”, synonymous with “witch” in old French.

The investigation will then return to police captain Laurence Weber, and his teammate and friend, Stéphane Bernier. The duo will also be helped by the new recruit, Lieutenant Chloé Guérin, who is also the new companion of Laurence’s son. In the role of the latter, viewers will be able to find the magnificent Cristiana Reali. At his side, we will find Fabrice Deville, well known for his interpretation of Florent in the successful series Un si beau soleil, on France 2.

“It has to be a postcard, it’s beautiful, nice”

And in order to highlight the splendor of Nancy, the TV film teams have decided to settle down in the capital of the Dukes of Lorraine for filming, which took place last May. Indeed, as Antonin Ehrenberg, producer of the Patafilm company, explained, these TV films make it possible to highlight the chosen cities. “It has to be a postcard, it’s beautiful, nice. We want to send some to our friends and the people we love. You have to show a postcard of the city with drone shots of the emblematic places. It’s important to highlight the territory”, he indicated to France Bleu. The approach was also financially supported by the Grand Est region and the Métropole du Grand Nancy. Finally, the extras present in the TV film, like some of the technicians, are from the region. Strong choices which are rewarded because the collection of “ Murders in… » regularly achieve the best audiences for the channel. “there is no Parisianism. We use a lot of beautiful cities to shoot films in general without really citing them. This collection allows us to have a detective story with a little history of the region and at the same time , we are in the best setting to tell this story,” added Cristiana Reali to France Bleu to justify this success.
