Raised in “The Saturday Trilogy”, addicted to HBO series, sitcoms and British dramas, she follows with curiosity and enthusiasm the evolution of French series. It doesn’t matter the genre and the format, as long as the fictions think outside the box and help society tell its story.

Before launching its eleventh season in early 2022, the Franco-British detective series filmed in Guadeloupe is back at the end of the year on France 2 with a special holiday episode, entitled “Christmas in the Caribbean”.

A first since the creation of the series in 2011: Meurtres au paradis returns this Wednesday, December 29 at 9:05 p.m. on France 2 with a new episode for the end of the year celebrations. On the island of Sainte-Marie, we will find members of the police squad led by Inspector Neville Parker and Sergeant Florence Cassell, but also many guests who will delight fans of the series.

In this ninth “bonus” episode of season 10, entitled “Christmas in the Caribbean”, Philip Carlton, a wealthy businessman, commits suicide during a party organized in his sumptuous villa. On him, the police find his cell phone containing a farewell message that leaves no room for doubt.

The affair seeming to be resolved, everyone returns to their Christmas preparations. But the next day, in London, a young taxi driver receives a mysterious greeting card, on which is inscribed a message claiming that Philip Carlton has been murdered …

This episode will be an opportunity for viewers to reunite with Ralf Little in the role of the hypochondriac inspector Neville Parker, opposite the French actress Joséphine Jobert, who joined season 10 from the series in the role of Florence Cassell.

But also Don Warrington (Selwyn Patterson), Tahj Miles (Marlon Pryce), Elizabeth Bourgine (Catherine Bordey), and finally Danny John-Jules in the role of Agent Dwayne Myers – a surprise return after his departure at the end of season 7.

Co-produced by the United Kingdom and France, Meurtres au Paradis has been renewed for two additional seasons by the BBC One channel. Season 11, made up of eight new episodes shot this year in Guadeloupe, should be broadcast in early 2022 in the United Kingdom and then on France 2.

As part of the broadcast of this special episode, France Télévisions puts all online seasons 9 and 10 for 30 days on the free platform France.tv.
