New Year’s Eve is celebrated in the city of Salzburg: from 1:30 p.m., Chapter Square is transformed into a stage.
From the Lungau Big Band to Anna Buchegger, bands and artists get in the mood for the new year. Just in time for the New Year, the beginning of 2024 will be welcomed with a spectacular fireworks display and musical choreographies. “This year we want to offer the people of Salzburg and the guests of the city of Salzburg a special turn of the year with lots of high-quality entertainment with free admission. We are convinced that we have once again found the right mix of music, entertainment and culture,” says Wolfgang Haider, chairman of the Salzburg Christmas market. The New Year’s Eve program ends on New Year’s Day at 6 p.m. But before that it’s “Everything Waltz” with dancing star Florian Gschaider.
