Realme’s smartphone with 240W charging is none other than the GT 3, to which the brand dedicated an entire conference at Mobile World Congress. There is nothing unknown about it, since it is the international version of a model already made official in China, the GT Neo 5. Realme places it in the continuity of the GT Neo 3 announced in 2022, and which had already stood out for its ultra-fast 150 W charging. And despite its communication which, at its start in Europe, highlighted its independence from the other brands of the BBK Electronics group, including Oppo, its fast at 240 W is indeed stamped SuperVOOC… or Oppo. And it allows, as Realme announced when the GT Neo 5 was made official, to refuel in less than 10 minutes.
Marketing still to be defined
Does a presentation in Europe mean that the GT 3 will be marketed on the Old Continent? The announcement of a sales price in dollars on European soil – it will take a starting price of $ 649 for its 8 / 128 GB version – without a launch date in the key, has something to question. In fact, Realme is content for the time being to think of marketing its smartphone “Soon” in Europe, although the representatives of the brand we interviewed were unable to say more. Suffice to say that the success of the GT Neo 5 in China should largely condition the marketing of its alter ego in our regions.
Let’s remember the characteristics of the Realme GT 3 all the same. Behind a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen (1240 x 2772 pixels), the brand has placed a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip flanked by 8 to 12 GB of RAM. The smartphone has a complete cooling system to limit heating when charging its battery to the capacity of 4600 mAh and its daily use. We note, on the photo side, the presence of a fairly classic triple module (50 Mpx for the wide-angle, 8 Mpx for the ultra-wide-angle and 2 Mpx for the macro module). A smartphone that is all in all balanced, from which it only remains to hope for an autonomy as long as its charge is fast, and a reasonable price in euros.
