“My little Jean-Pierre d’amour”: Nathalie Marquay misses her husband, she shows him on video

The pain is still as intense more than a month after the death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut. The journalist left us on March 2 at the age of 71, following complications in the heart while suffering from lung cancer. After the organization of his funeral in Paris, which welcomed all the gratin of the PAF, and the first phases of mourning, it is time for the wife of the journalist that life resumes its course. But after more than twenty years together, it is difficult for Nathalie Marquay not to think of him almost constantly.

Thursday April 14, 2022, the ex-Miss France rightly remained pensive in the face of the absence of her husband while she was mowing the lawn in their garden. A task that Jean-Pierre Pernaut used to take care of. “I do it for you. I miss you“, she noted on a video of her in full mission. (See our slideshow). And for her to comment out loud: “There you are, my little Jean-Pierre of love. He liked mowing. I think of you my love, it relaxed you so much… I kiss you all“.

Nathalie Marquay, however, does not mope and remains active so as not to sink into grief. Three days after Jean-Pierre Pernaut’s funeral, she was already back on stage at the theater for a performance of the play The Tontons pranksters in which she plays. In tears, she paid homage to him:You know Jean-Pierre is someone who always liked to work who never wanted to stop so for him I wanted to be there tonight. He yelled at me because I didn’t go and that’s it I was in pain but I tried to be strong like him. This applause is for you Jean-Pierre.

Her last love, she met him in 2001, at the Miss France 2002 election in Mulhouse, which ended with the coronation of Sylvie Tellier. It was Geneviève de Fontenay who fell in love with them, as she said during an interview with The Parisian. “It was thanks to me that Nathalie Marquay met him when she was Miss France. I was invited to How much does it cost [émission que Jean-Pierre Pernaut présentait, NDLR] and Nathalie was in the audience. It was not planned, but I told him at the last moment to come with me that evening. There was a flash between them. And it was she who started. After the party, she asked Xavier [son fils, NDLR] Jean-Pierre Pernaut’s phone. She wanted him to be on the judging panel. They met again and that’s it.

The couple later married in 2007, at the town hall of the 4th arrondissement of Paris. From their beautiful union were born two children, Lou (20 years old) and Tom (19 years old). Jean-Pierre Pernaut also had Olivier and Julia (born in 1981 and 1978 from his former marriage to Dominique Bonnet).
