MyFrenchFilmFestival 2023: Fuck it, Les Magnétiques… the best French-language films of the year to watch online!

The 13th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival, the international festival of French-speaking films, begins on January 13. Spotlight on the selection, the jury, the prizes… In short, everything there is to know about the event!

Launched in 2011, MyFrenchFilmFestival is back for a 13th edition. The international event, which has the particularity of being entirely accessible online, has some great surprises in store for you this year.

No less than 29 French-language films, features and shorts, make up the selection revealed on January 5th. We find there About Joan with Isabelle Huppert, Les Magnétiques by Vincent Maël Cardona, A story of love and desire by Leyla Bouzid, Nothing to fuck with Adèle Exarchopoulos… And many others!

These little pearls will compete to obtain one of the MyFFF awards: the Public Prize, the International Press Prize or the prestigious Grand Jury Prize.

The latter will be awarded by an exceptional jury, bringing together the ultimate filmmakers from all walks of life. We find there indeed the Franco-Iranian director Emily Atef (More than ever), the Japanese director Chie Hayakawa (Plan 75), the Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen (Compartment n ° 6), the Ukrainian filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa (In the mist) , without forgetting the Spaniard Albert Serra who recently dazzled us with his Pacifiction, worn by Benoît Magimel.

As for short films, the festival selection this year is rich with no less than 16 films. From the strange and disturbing Que la Bête Monte to the moving Marianne, the spectators are not at the end of their surprises… nor their emotions! Which works will succeed Erratum and Malabar and will be crowned with the much desired rewards?

To find out which works will be rewarded, you will have to wait until February 10. The opportunity to (re)discover the films in competition on the MyFrenchFilmFestival website!*
