Chelsea sacks coach Graham Potter

Premier League club Chelsea FC and coach Graham Potter are now going their separate ways. The former flagship club is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but only eleventh in the league. According to media reports, Julian Nagelsmann could be the successor.
Soccer international Kai Havertz is getting a new coach at Premier League club Chelsea. the blues parted ways with Graham Potter, as the club announced in a statement on its website. The day before, a sobering 0:2 (0:1) home defeat against Aston Villa had further reduced the already minimal hopes of a place in the European Cup. The London club is currently only eleventh in the table.
According to information from Sky and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, former Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann is the favorite for the now vacant coaching position at Chelsea. Romano wrote on Twitter that Chelsea had always seen Nagelsmann as an upcoming coach to keep an eye on. The Italian was the first to report the separation of Bayern from Nagelsmann. The 35-year-old Nagelsmann was released from Bayern Munich a little over a week ago. He is also being talked about as a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
Potter replaced Tuchel seven months ago
Chelsea have won just three out of twelve Premier League games this year. In the Champions League, however, Chelsea have reached the quarter-finals and meet Real Madrid. Potter has agreed to work with the club to ensure a smooth transition, it said. “Chelsea would like to thank Graham for his efforts and contribution and wish him well in the future.”
Just under seven months ago, Potter succeeded Thomas Tuchel, who is now under contract with the German record champions Bayern Munich. As an interim solution, Chelsea presented the previous assistant Bruno Saltor on Sunday. The Londoners are currently eleven points behind the international places.
