The one who once presented the game Everyone wants to take its place spoke behind the scenes of the show Taratata and Yann Barthès did not hesitate to question him to obtain juicy little anecdotes.
Nagui then made a first revelation on the fact that certain artists wish to focus on playback. “The first problem is the artists who don’t want to sing live. They plug in machines and then we realize that the voice is already ready. We hear it in the control room, we have all the tracks, so we say: ‘No, that won’t be possible’ […] Some accept […] and those who do not accept leave” he revealed.

Mélanie Page’s husband then told an anecdote about an emblematic person who, during his appearance on the show, in 1996, literally destroyed his dressing room. This is Lenny Kravitz who had visibly lost his temper that day. “The dressing room, the sink, the toilet, he broke everything […] He played, he sang, he did the interview, he arrives in his dressing room, he destroys everything. He found the sound bad and it was his technicians who gave him feedback and he was mad with rage so he destroyed everything and above all he said: ‘I don’t want this to happen’. I’m in trouble” recalled Nagui, recounting this anecdote that occurred almost 30 years ago.
Marked by this meeting, Nagui did not fail to reveal the rest of this crazy adventure. “The next morning I go to his hotel with the show tape shaking just a little bit and playing him. He settles in and you can imagine Lenny Kravitz’s poker face. He settles in the armchair, it’s 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., so dawn for him. He watches the show, but without any… No sneers, no reactions and I really say to myself: ‘This is going to go badly.’ the end of the show, the sunny smile that makes you want to hug and he fell into my arms. Since then, he has done the show five, six times” he concluded.
