A new challenge for Naïma Rodric! Since 2018, the actress has made a name for herself thanks to her recurring role in the series Un si grand soleil, where she plays Lucille Salama. And if the young Belgian left the soap opera does not stop there since he landed a role in Oliver Marchal’s next film, entitled Overdose. But if Naïma Rodric was happy to shoot again, she had a very big health problem. “I was still very sick on the set. I didn’t know it but I was having acute appendicitis with peritonitis”told the young actress in the columns of TV 7 Days. Because of this inflammation, Naïma Rodric even had to be hospitalized. But fortunately, more fear than harm since the actress is much better.
“Fortunately, it was during the days when I was not working. But it took me a month to recover because it was quite violent”, she added to our colleagues. But Naïma Rodric was still very afraid for her health. Result: the young woman decided to take this test with a lot of hindsight and philosophy. “It fueled something even more intense and it makes you want to fight, she continued in the columns of Télé 7 Jours. This is where we also realize that the body is very important so we want to take care of ourselves even more, to play sports, to be in fact always operational when we are going to be offered a casting. with a role that may be physical.” This appendicitis also allowed him “to relativize”as she explains having a smile.
Naïma Rodric: “It was a crazy experience to shoot for OIivier Marchal”
As a reminder, three years after making her debut in Un si grand soleil, Naïma Rodric said goodbye to Lucille. “I didn’t slam the door. I left the series by artistic choice. We had been talking about it for two months with the production and the authors. I had been approached by Olivier Marchal to play in Overdose, his next film produced by Gaumont and Amazon. It was an opportunity I couldn’t see myself passing up.”, she told us last January. And to say more about her character in this film, Vanessa. “She’s a strong head, crazy. She is the wife of the leader of a drug cartel played by Alberto Ammann (Narcos). In the cast there is also Sofia Essaïdi, Bruno Lopes (Kool Shen), Assaad Bouab ( Ten percent)…, she added. It was a crazy experience to shoot for Olivier Marchal who is a brilliant director and a really charming man.”
