A nanny left the home of the child she was looking after, taking him with her. She was found, along with the infant, a few hours later.
This Tuesday, May 30, around 6:45 p.m., a woman went to the home of her son-in-law, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. It was there that she made a disturbing discovery: her 5-month-old grandson and the nanny who was supposed to look after him until 7 p.m. had vanished. According to information from Figaro, she directly alerted her son-in-law. The latter then tried many times to contact the nanny by telephone, without success. Around 7:40 p.m. and still without news of her child and the babysitter, he ended up contacting the police.
The police then geolocated the nanny’s phone, who left the capital and embarked on a run in part of the Petite Couronne. The aircraft stopped for the first time at 7:36 p.m. in Enghien-les-Bains (Val-d’Oise), then at 8:03 p.m. in Asnières-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine), not far from the home of nanny. Around 8:30 p.m., his escape ended: a police crew finally managed to find her in her stairwell, carrying the child in her arms. The arrest was hectic: refusing to be arrested, the woman started screaming and shaking the baby. The police, however, managed to get the child out of danger. They were able to subdue the nurse and handcuff her, not without difficulty: she managed to bite the hand of one of them.

The infant’s mother was able to find him in good health at the Gennevilliers police station (Hauts-de-Seine). The suspect was hospitalized in psychiatry due to his state of health. The parents had known her for a short time: she had been “on trial” for only a few days.
